Hair Removal with Laser

Like with any other hair removal method, there are few steps you should follow before, during, and after your treatment to ensure your own safety and delivery of desired results. Some of the proceedings are described below together with tips you are encouraged to follow.

PRIOR YOUR TREATMENT

Before hair removal treatment begins, skin must be carefully inspected. Shaving must be the only way to remove hair at least three to four weeks before your procedure, so forget about plucking or waxing. Last couple of days you shouldnt even touch your hair. Leave your hair to grow one or two millimeters before treatment; that way procedure will be more successful.

FOR THE DURATION OF YOUR TREATMENT

Gel is spread over your skin. This particular gel will transfer energy from the laser device more easily and at the same time prevent skin to get irritated too much. So if everything is done correctly no burning feeling should be experienced during or after the treatment.

Part of the skin which is treated, is carefully, inch by inch, lightened with a laser device. Time that takes to finish one session depends more or less solely on the size of an area undertaken and may take from 20 minutes up to one and a half hour.

THINGS TO DO AFTER YOUR TREATMENT

You are welcome to return to your normal activities that you undertake every day. You may meet with some redness and prickling on the treated skin. It shouldnt take longer than two days for these conditions to disappear. Using soothing agents is recommended to ease the possible swelling.

Should you decide to shave or undergo sugaring or waxing on the neighboring area of the skin, take care not to accidentally apply shaving cream or wax on the skin that was treated. Also, dont expose yourself to sun or solariums, stay away from self-tanning lotions, and dont shower with hot water or wipe skin too intensely.

In the time between individual treatments you are encouraged to shave only. After few procedures, hairs will start to fall off themselves, which will pretty much leave you task-free.
